Use of the website 

The Alpine Initiative does its utmost to ensure the safe operation of its website. However, it cannot, rule out the possibility of defects such as, loss or forgery of data, virus attacks, interruption of service, etc. Access to the website therefore takes place at the user’s own risk and responsibility. The Alpine Initiative endeavours to ensure that the information on the website is correct and up to date at the time of publication and does not violate third party rights (in particular the protection of privacy). However, the Alpine Initiative cannot guarantee the accuracy, reliability or completeness of the information provided. 


The Alpine Initiative disclaims any liability for damage or consequential damage that may arise from access to its website or parts of it (such as downloaded documents) or its use (or the inability to access or use it) or links to other websites. Please note that the transfer of data via forms and e-mails is generally not secure, i.e. that it may be be intercepted by unauthorized third parties (hackers). 


The use of images and texts of any kind requires the written consent of the Alpine Initiative and is permissible only with reference to the copyright details. The use of the Alpine Initiative logo is protected by copyright and requires the written consent of the Alpine Initiative. 

Data protection

Data, in particular sensitive personal data, that you send us, e.g. on contact forms or e-mails, will be treated confidentially. As a member of ZEWO, we promise not to sell, rent, or exchange addresses collected from donors, members, friends and interested people. We comply with the regulations of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and in particular comply with requests to block addresses or send no further mailings. 

Alpine Initiative

The Alpine Initiative is a Swiss association. In 1989 the association launched the popular initiative "for the protection of the Alpine region from transit traffic", that was accepted on the 20th February 1994 by a majority of both the Swiss population and the cantons.
